Since hearing a haiku recited in Japanese at Yale, I've been hooked. But it took me eight years to translate it into English! Since 1967, I've been involved in the North American and global haiku community. Charter member of the Haiku Society of America, editor of Haiku Magazine, 1971-76, founder of From Here Press, 1975.
